The big news today is that of the National Union of Mineworkers in South Africa.  The union is planning a 1 day strike action on December fourth in protest against safety issues. It should come not come as a great surprise as the union has been flagging the suggestion for some weeks.

If the action goes ahead it will be the first time in many years that the whole industry would be affected.

Is Gold making a big move again?

The gold price started what appeared to be a major upwards move again this morning which could see it testing recent highs, but price movements likely to remain volatile.

 We have spoken several times in regards to this issue over the course of the last few years. China has already lead the assault on a covert basis but soon they will move to an overt basis and now India will be forced to join them not because they think they might have to but because they desperately need too.  The excerpt below will explain our point quite clearly
