The year before Mr. George Bush Jr. took the oval office of the United States of America, the average price per a gallon of regular gas was approximately $1.79 per a gallon. During the last eight years, the gas has steadily risen, and has even at times been above $4.00 to $5.00 dollars per a gallon in America alone.  These very high oil costs not only have made it very hard for the average person trying to make ends meet, but also hurts most every other aspect of America, and so many other businesses around the world.
 

With the ways of the earth's environment hurting of an environmental breakdown all around the globe, and to make matters worse, there is also the vast variety of improvements needed to over haul the whole oil extracting industries to date. Horizontal directional drilling is also known as directional boring.  It is a trench less method of installing pipes and underground cables. Normally to install pipes of cables under the ground a huge trench must be dug up so that the cables can be laid. However with the use of horizontal directional drilling one can lay pipes and cable lines without disrupting the neighborhood. It is a special method that is developed where the disturbance to the environment around is minimum and where digging a huge trench is not feasible.

Prices at the gas pump seem to go higher and higher every day. This exorbitant raise in prices has caused the average American consumer to find ways to cut their fuel costs. This includes carpooling, riding the bus, and otherwise seeking ways to improve their mileage in their vehicles. All of this is having an effect on the production rates of the oil refineries. Higher prices are causing a decline in the demand at the pump and, therefore, a noted decrease in US oil consumption.
